2005 PILOT PROGRAMME

The pilot of Waiting ran in Redruth, Cornwall for 6 months. The following videos ran on a large monitor on a looped DVD in the waiting area of the GP surgery.

Animation creates silent music.

Clare Elaine Bridgeman - Passing the Time in the Landscape
Numerous ways of passing the time in the Cornish landscape with no other reason than to waste it through using it.

John Cockshaw - Cosmos
Using a sequence of images that combine painting with digital video; a vision of an imaginary Cosmos comes to life.

Jane Fox - C251 KVW
Here Fox plays tribute to her motor vehicle (now deceased). In one long take she cast a personal light on the relationship between automobile and identity.

Nick Harply -Jubilee Pool
Jubilee Pool is the backdrop for the reinterpretation of the Greek myth of Narcissus.

'After the Party There was War' A short film about the hyperactive imagination that brings two strangers with 'un conextion inexpicable' to share a few minutes of their lives the morning after the world has been celebrating the start of the new year.

David Anthony Sant - Pushchair
An extremely restricted vision framed by the pushchairs own hood. The split screen format has the image of a baby in one corner, eyeing the surrounding world in collusion with a toy dangling above her head.

Sam Thomspon - The Making of a Machine to Get Brainwaves Thompson's short film revealing the processes involved in getting brainwaves.

Simon Vince & Emi Kodama - Between Land and Sea
One photographer, one graphic designer, from two different parts of the world, brought together by music and poetry to form what has become 'Between Land & Sky'.

Dave Wheatcroft - Road
'I travel, hoping not to arrive, as the road is more fun!'
